Do good and good will come back to you
Once, a middle-aged man sought the blessings of a renowned sage to help him fulfill his dream of building a house. The sage listened carefully and then gave him an unusual instruction: “Take a clay pot (matka) and hang it on a tree in a tilted manner.”
The man, puzzled but trusting, did as the sage advised. He hung the pot on a tree and went about his life. A year later, he returned to the sage, his face beaming with gratitude. He thanked the sage and explained, “The trick with the pot worked! I now own a house, something I never imagined possible.”
The sage smiled and asked, “What happened to the pot?”
The man replied, “A sparrow built a nest in the pot and now lives there with its family.”
The sage nodded wisely and said, “You provided a home for the sparrow, and it is the sparrow’s blessings that helped you build your house. Good deeds never go to waste. ‘Kar bhala toh ho bhala.’ Always do good deeds and have faith in God. Jai Shree Radhe.”
